Our Story

The foundation of VelorHealth wasn’t built in a boardroom, but from a personal refusal to accept the limitations of aging. Our founder, John Uleim—a dedicated lifelong athlete—witnessed his own parents being forced to abandon the activities they loved, like pickleball and hiking, far too early. He believed there had to be a better way to stay mobile and active.

Collaborating with experts in physical therapy and specialists in industrial design, John utilized a deep understanding of premium craftsmanship to develop our first solution. Originally, the wooden slant board was built to strict clinical specifications for one reason: to help his mother squat without discomfort and his father navigate stairs without pain.

The results were undeniable and spread quickly through word-of-mouth. What began as a personal tool for family recovery soon caught the attention of neighbors and local physical therapists, who began requesting the boards for their own rehabilitation clinics.

Today, VelorHealth is driven by a global mission that goes beyond a single product: To empower individuals to move better, recover faster, and live limitless lives at any age.
